This was a great collaboration with my whole family, and one of my largest pieces to-date. If you look closely at the leaves, there are a few hidden surprises... (it's not Leafman, but see if you can spot a close relative of his)

One man's rubbish...
Today my brother and sister were making some art projects. They had cut out some shapes and left some scraps on the table. This was one of them.
It seemed such a shame just to let it go without being put to good use:

Visiting Rats
On Sunday, mom took me to visit a lady from church who has three pet rats so I could hold them and play with them. This is a "Thank You" card I made for her. It says "thanc u vare much," but I meant "thank you very much."
The rats' names are Tony, McGee, and Gibb. This is a picture of Tony. He was my favorite. The picture is of me giving Tony a treat. You can still see a bit of my hand as I pull it back quickly. It turned out I wasn't as brave about holding rats as I thought on our drive over there.

1st First Grade Newsletter
Last week a picture I drew was featured in the first issue of our class newsletter. It is Johnny Appleseed, but the black and white reproduction does not do justice to the original. It's the price you have to pay these days to get published what with the web increasing distribution and drawing more and more attention to overheads.
Self Portrait
This is my new Blog: a place for me to save and share things I create around the house and at school. Those who know me well enough will not be surprised to learn that the empty toilet paper roll is perhaps my favorite medium. I call this piece "Self Portrait in 80% Recycled Material."
